On June 6th Capt. Andy Merendino took Nicholas Tarr and his crew of anglers out for a day of offshore shark fishing. Though some blue sharks had previously been reported lurking, no one expected the 162 lb that was hooked into. After an impressive fight the healthy shark was subdued and landed. Adding to the excitement back at South Jersey Marina weigh station was the news that this was the first officially weighed in mako for the season! Congratulations to Nicholas Tarr, Capt. Andy, and the crew of the Cape Queen.
