| April will mark the beginning of our second fishing season. The Cape Queen was out of the water for two weeks receiving yearly maintenance at Canyon Club Marina during the month of April. Under the water line she received a well deserved hull cleaning, sanding, and two healthy coats of Interlux Micron Extra Bottom Shield. Working up from the bottom Capt. Andy made it a point to also give the load line a fresh coat of paint. With the intake screens cleaned, new zincs, and a full inspection it was time for the Cape Queen to take to the water again. Dave Rigley from the Canyon Club was responsible for fine tuning the 26” prop. Initial test runs showed us gaining a knot on the water and hopefully improving fuel consumption. While work continues inside the cabin excitement runs high as words of striper begin to dot the local fishing reports. We have less than two weeks until our first official charter and Capt. Andy gets to settle back into to what he knows best.

| We are currently working on scheduling a limited amount of SCUBA Diving charters during the 2008 season. Heritage Towers of Cape May is in the process of fabricating a new custom aluminum dive ladder for the stern of the Cape Queen. As not only avid fisherman, but divers as well, we are melding years of experiance on dive boats to provide what we believe will be superior South Jersey diving operation. Keep watch on our website for updates and a preliminary schedule. |
